《Face Value》是Phil Collins在艺术摇滚乐队Gensis解散后，以个人姿态发行的第一张专辑。那时的音乐并没有今天的Collins音乐中的欢欣鼓舞、美好生活，而是沉淀了许多Gensis时期的幽暗和内敛的曲风。
    其中《In the air tonight》是Phil Collins的第一支个人单曲。在歌中，他负责了主唱、鼓机、键盘等。尤其是鼓点，与他嘶哑的嗓音配合的天衣无缝，但又决不喧宾夺主。不愧是鼓手出身！
